COVID-19: Office Slowdown

Greetings to all Global Tax Services (GTS) Clients!

On March 23, Ontario Premier Doug Ford made an announcement declaring a state of emergency in the province of Ontario and ordered all non-essential businesses to shut down to help preventing the spread of COVID-19 until April 3, 2020.

Considering the government order and safety of Global Tax Services families, we would like to inform that we have decided to limit the service hour of Global Tax Services at Toronto office.

  1. Change in Service hour; effective March 26 (Wed), 2020
  2. New Operating Time: Mon-Fri from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Change in Employees’ Shifts

As we have decided to limit the new services hour for the safety of public, there has been a change in the employees’ schedule. We will inform you the detailed schedule of the employees’ working shift individually by the staff-in-charge.

  • Tax Report and Emergency Operational Fund information

To avoid the face-to-face consultation, services regarding Emergency Funds, Wage Subsidies, and tax report will be conducted via email and Dropbox system.

  • Dropbox Operation: Details will be informed individually by the staff-in-charge.

** For your information, considering our heavy workload, the Emergency Operational Fund applications will be prepared on a first-come-first-serve basis. We recommend you to prepare all the documents needed in advance and apply as soon as possible. We will provide the document list upon your initiation to our office. In addition, we inform you that additional service fee will be charged. We will update you as soon as government announces additional information or any changes on the Emergency Operational Fund information.

  • Temporary Lay-off Notice due to Temporary Lockout

In the case of temporary lockout of your business due to COVID-19 crisis, you shall notify the employees after changing the highlighted parts of the termination email (Sample) that we will separately email to you.  

  • Sending Personal Income Tax Report and other Documents

**In the case of visiting our office, please make an appointment in advance and wear a mask and gloves. Yu can make an appointment via email or telephone. The later (phone) may be busy as we can not handle all incoming calls.

In the modern history, we have overcome the crisis by uniting together and sharing our resources in warm hearts. Therefore, we will surely get through this crisis as well.
